Summer Job Opportunities in Region Västmanland

What will I be working with?

We have several operations within Region Västmanland that welcome summer workers. This includes wards, clinics, Combined Services, Assistive Technology Center, Västmanland County Museum, and cultural development. Other operations may also be relevant. The tasks will relieve regular staff during the summer, making you an important resource this summer!

By offering youth work, the region has the opportunity to showcase its broad operations and the career opportunities available.

Who can apply for summer work?

Summer work is primarily for those of you who are in high school. To work in a healthcare operation, you must be at least 18 years old. There are also a limited number of positions available for those who are 16 years old.

The positions will primarily go to high school students who are registered in Västmanland and who have not previously had summer work in the region.

No prior experience is required, but we appreciate if you are social and enjoy meeting people!

Information

The positions are distributed over two work periods:

• Period 1, weeks 25-28
• Period 2, weeks 29-32

Working hours are Monday to Friday from 08:00 AM to 02:30 PM with a 30-minute break, resulting in 6 hours of work per day. Deviating working hours may occur.

Employment type: hourly employment

Before your work period starts, you will be invited to a joint introduction day for which you will be compensated. You will learn more about the region as an employer through various study visits.

When will I receive notification?

In February, you will be notified if you have received a position within Region Västmanland for the summer.

If you are not offered a job, you will receive a message via email in early March.
